For the campout we will have everyone bring their own main dish to grill or cook on the campfire plus a potluck dish to pass. I will provide water & s’more fixings. If you want something else to drink, feel free to bring it. For Sunday breakfast we will have coffee, milk, juice, fruit and muffins or bread. We need volunteers to bake muffins or bread. I will pick up the fruit and beverages at the commissary and people can contribute a few dollars/family to cover the cost. Families should bring camping gear, water shoes (negative tide at 9pm), musical instruments, swimsuits, towels, and flashlights.
For the Easter egg hunt/brunch we will have everyone bring a potluck dish to pass - whatever their traditional Easter recipe is if possible. I will provide an Easter ham. For the Easter egg hunt we will fill plastic eggs with small toys plus use some of the real eggs that were colored on April 7th. We will need each family to contribute a few dollars to cover the costs of the toys used to fill the eggs. Also, if anyone has last year’s plastic eggs, please bring them on April 7th. Traditional Easter games that I played as a kid were 3-legged races, wheel barrow races, water balloon toss, and something about an egg on a spoon. We could do some games like that (or other ones that people like) after the brunch if anyone is interested.
I guess that covers it. I will need a general idea of how many are coming for the campout by Tuesday, March 31st so I can buy the fruit. We will have to coordinate the muffin volunteers then as well. A head count for the brunch might be a good idea then as well.
