Harvesting sweet potato and Suzi's song!

We started we Suzi’s BEAUTIFUL song about garden day. I will have the recording soon online! Have to download it first. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was sooooooo much fun. Digging up the root of the sweet potato and harvest them. One treasure after another popped out of the earth. They just loved it. We washed, cut them and made French fries. Everybody ate their tummies round and fun! This was just soo much fun, harvest, cook and eat!!!!!!!

We also planted some more, for future harvest parties like these.

Thanks everybody, it was fantastic, we love having you all here! Else

Some beach day fun!

The kids loves the beach
A few yoga pictures from previous beach Penny took. If somebody has from last time feel free to send them.

Planting part two

Once a banana tree bared fruit it will rot and die. But because it is an excellent fertilizer we cut the tree in two. The kids added all kind of seeds plus some compost. We can’t wait to see what pops out. So exciting! Else

Planting part one + crazy kiddo's

With the old compost we planted some tomato’s a few weeks back.
Funny faces!

Tuesday, April 21 Baby pig brought by Suzanne

Tuesday, April 28th Earth day beach clean up at our house & low tide critter catching

For the campout we will have everyone bring their own main dish to grill or cook on the campfire plus a potluck dish to pass. I will provide water & s’more fixings. If you want something else to drink, feel free to bring it. For Sunday breakfast we will have coffee, milk, juice, fruit and muffins or bread. We need volunteers to bake muffins or bread. I will pick up the fruit and beverages at the commissary and people can contribute a few dollars/family to cover the cost. Families should bring camping gear, water shoes (negative tide at 9pm), musical instruments, swimsuits, towels, and flashlights.

For the Easter egg hunt/brunch we will have everyone bring a potluck dish to pass - whatever their traditional Easter recipe is if possible. I will provide an Easter ham. For the Easter egg hunt we will fill plastic eggs with small toys plus use some of the real eggs that were colored on April 7th. We will need each family to contribute a few dollars to cover the costs of the toys used to fill the eggs. Also, if anyone has last year’s plastic eggs, please bring them on April 7th. Traditional Easter games that I played as a kid were 3-legged races, wheel barrow races, water balloon toss, and something about an egg on a spoon. We could do some games like that (or other ones that people like) after the brunch if anyone is interested.

I guess that covers it. I will need a general idea of how many are coming for the campout by Tuesday, March 31st so I can buy the fruit. We will have to coordinate the muffin volunteers then as well. A head count for the brunch might be a good idea then as well.
