Welcome to the garden and beach day blog

Just over a year ago I met three wonderful women Jamie, Else and Nadine and suggested that we share some gardening with our kids. Else immediately agreed to host a vegetable plot in her back yard. It was such a fun time watching a bare plot turn into beautiful and productive garden. Jamie and Nadine have moved away from Guam now but their dreams live on. Garden Day has grown from such humble beginnings to include many families. Each week mothers (sometimes dads) and their children, who come from all over the world, gather to share the magic of garden day.

You will find information on our original dream, child hood development information that we draw on when telling and writing our stories and planning our gardening activities. We have many photographers in our group so please enjoy the images that tell a thousand words!

    Oh, Else, this was such an inspired idea. What a blessing to so many families on Guam! It sure has given me ideas... can't wait for the spring to come here so we can start a garden too!
